Mottura 54N897SP8RS front door lock is a 4-bolt lock with a latch and an auxiliary lock for a Euro cylinder. It is mortise, dual-system, semi-dependent, with three-way locking. The body and cover are made of steel. When closing on a cylinder lock, the deadbolt hole is covered by a special lever - a "curtain", preventing manipulation with lock picks and complicating vandalism. Main deadbolt lock: Deadbolt - four steel deadbolts with a diameter of 18 mm., Deadbolt projection - 40 mm, for four half-turns. Additional cylinder lock: one deadbolt with a diameter of 18 mm, deadbolt projection 20 mm. for two turns. Removal of the keyhole and the deadbolt handle (Backset) 63 mm. The latch is unlocked with both a handle and a key. The lock can be right-handed or left-handed, this model is left-handed. Nucleo Compact mechanism. Which is easy to replace if the keys are lost. The replaceable mechanism uses the ANTIDECO system and an advanced deadbolt system with traps in the form of teeth on the edges of the deadbolts, which prevent the lock from being opened with pickaxes.

The trap mechanism consists of special teeth on the deadbolts and slots in the shank, on which the set of deadbolts is held. The principle of operation of the trap mechanism is that when you try to lift the deadbolts with pickaxes and insert the bolts, the teeth on the deadbolts fall into the slot on the shank and block the deadbolts. Thus, opening the lock with a pickaxe is practically impossible. The trap system also does not allow decoding the key profile using a vibration pickaxe.

In addition to the above, in order to complicate the opening of the lock in the above-mentioned way, the Mottura company has developed the ANTIDECO system, which is used in locks with nucleo compact. Locks with a lever locking system, and, accordingly, the keys to the locks, are not the same; in addition to their appearance, they differ in the type of key profile, which actually ensures the secrecy of the lock. The key profile can be with the same distance (C) between the opposite teeth of the key (A,B), which is repeated on the entire key, or with a variable distance (C). In the antideco system, the distance between the opposite teeth changes from position to position. Such a profile makes the process of restoring the shape of the key more complicated and time-consuming, since the attacker needs to determine the profile of both teeth of the key. Such locks belong to the second generation of lever locks.
