Description

Plush puzzles are modular floor tiles with cut-out locking joints that are easy to join together. A distinctive feature is the presence of a soft textile layer on the surface of the puzzles. Key characteristics of the flooring: softness, cushioning, thermal insulation and light weight.

The floor covering "Plush Puzzles" consists of the following layers:

  • The main layer of EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) is a thermoplastic polymer, its molecular structure is a polymer chain consisting of ethylene, due to which the material becomes flexible, and vinyl acetate, which gives the material thermoplastic properties. The composition also contains special antistatic additives and additives for the formation of a foamed structure, due to which the material acquires heat-insulating and shock-absorbing properties.
  • The plush textile layer is a soft fleecy material made from polyester fibers. It is highly durable, wear-resistant, and the plush does not wrinkle and dries quickly.

    • The plush textile layer is attached to the main layer using a lamination method: a special thermoplastic adhesive is applied to the EVA surface, which ensures strong adhesion, after which, using a press, the plush and EVA are connected under pressure; in some cases, heating is used to improve adhesion.

    The result of lamination is a strong and durable connection of plush with EVA, which retains its properties even under intensive use.

    Application: Plush puzzles are intended for laying floor coverings in residential premises (living room, bedroom or children's room, kitchen and bathroom) and in commercial premises (kindergartens, children's play areas, studios and clubs, schools).

    They are ideal for children's rooms, creating safe and warm play areas where children can play on the floor without the risk of injury. For home gyms, this flooring is also a great choice, providing comfort and safety during exercise. In dressing rooms and bedrooms, plush puzzles add comfort and warmth underfoot, especially in areas where people walk barefoot. In offices and commercial spaces, they are used to create comfortable relaxation areas or work areas with increased safety.

    Properties and advantages of the material:

  • Softness and elasticity. The EVA base material has high springiness and softness. Due to this, even with a standard thickness of 10 mm, the coating provides a high level of shock-absorbing properties, which helps to soften impacts. This is especially important for floors in children's rooms, gyms and other rooms where safety and comfort are important. The top layer is made of a soft fleecy material that creates a pleasant tactile sensation and provides comfort when walking barefoot, making it an ideal choice for use in cold rooms.
  • Thermal insulation properties. The combination of plush and EVA effectively retains heat, making puzzles an excellent choice for flooring in rooms where it is important to maintain a comfortable temperature. This property also contributes to energy savings, reducing heating costs.
  • Soundproofing. Thanks to the thick pile and the base material, the puzzles have high soundproofing properties. This helps reduce the noise level in the room, creating a quieter and calmer atmosphere.
  • Antistatic properties. EVA material contains antistatic additives, so the coating does not conduct electricity and does not become electrified.
  • Aesthetics. Plush puzzles have an attractive appearance due to their soft pile and variety of colors. This allows you to use plush puzzles not only for practical purposes, but also as a decorative element that adds coziness and style to the interior. Various docking options make it easy to combine different colors, creating unique and original compositions.
  • Resistance to mechanical impacts and elasticity. The EVA material used in plush puzzles is denser than budget analogues. It has high resistance to mechanical impacts and elasticity. The peculiarity of EVA and plush materials is the ability to quickly restore to their original shape after rearranging large-sized furniture, leaving no marks from the legs of tables, chairs and other light furniture or interior items.
  • Anti-slip properties. The back of the plush puzzles has a special embossing that ensures secure fixation on the floor and prevents slipping during use.

    • Calculation of the required amount of material:

  • Measure the length and width of the surface to be covered.
  • Multiply the length by the width of the surface in meters to get the area.

    • For example, after measurements you got: Floor length 5.6 m Floor width 3.2 m, then 3.2 * 5.6 = 17.92 m² (this is the area of the entire floor surface). The resulting area must be divided by the area of one puzzle and rounded up: 17.92 / 0.36 = 49.77 rounded up to 50 pcs. During installation, waste may occur due to cutting the floor covering, so it is recommended to add 2-3 spare puzzles to the calculation.

    Installation recommendations:

  • Make sure the surface where the puzzles will be placed is clean and dry. Remove any sharp objects or obstacles, protrusions on the surface.
  • Sort puzzles by color if they have different variations. Mark areas where certain colors or shapes should be placed if necessary.
  • Start laying from one edge of the room or surface to be covered. Place edge puzzles first to define the outline of the area.
  • The puzzles can also be trimmed with a utility knife if necessary.
  • Connect the puzzles using the locks that are on the edges of each tile. Make sure that the puzzles are tightly connected to avoid unevenness in the flooring.
  • If the installation is glueless, but the modular floor needs to be fixed, use double-sided tape on the back side.
  • Make sure all puzzles are on the same level.
