VINYL TILE ON ADHESIVE BASE UNDER LAMINATE
Vinyl tiles with an adhesive base are a modern and convenient floor covering. They provide durability, resistance to moisture and wear, and are easy to install thanks to the adhesive base. They have a variety of designs that perfectly imitate natural materials such as wood or stone. They have heat-insulating and sound-insulating properties, do not require special care, and are environmentally friendly.
Material: polyvinyl chloride (PVC)
Dimensions: 152 x 914 x 1.5 mm
Coverage area: 152 x 914 mm – 0.138 m², quantity per 1 m² – 8 units
Surface: smooth matte, with imitation of natural materials
Laminate tiles consist of the following layers:
The polymer layer (transparent), which protects against abrasions and minor mechanical damage, ensures long-term use, and UV protection helps prevent fading, keeping the color rich, as a result of which the vinyl laminate retains its original aesthetic appearance for a long time. Decorative layer: film with high-quality color printing, which completely imitates the texture of natural materials thanks to a clear and detailed image. The main layer of foamed polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is a polymer consisting of long chains of vinyl chloride molecules, which contain chlorine atoms, which makes the material resistant to chemicals. PVC is an amorphous polymer, such a structural feature makes it elastic and impact-resistant, and thanks to stabilizers and softeners, the material has shock-absorbing properties and is lightweight. Foil layer: the main property of this layer is the reflection of heat waves, which allows minimizing heat loss, thereby improving the thermal insulation of the room. Adhesive layer: non-toxic base with high adhesion level. Protective siliconized paper – protects the adhesive layer from drying out and contamination, easily removed during installation. Temperature conditions:under the influence of high temperatures it can change shape. In the kitchen area near fire sources, the tiles should be installed at a distance of 30-50 cm.
Application: interior finishing works: decorating floors and walls in all types of residential premises (kitchen, bathroom, living room, children's room or bedroom, entrance area) and commercial premises (office premises, reception areas, shops, beauty salons or fitness centers, public places, workshops), furniture, doors and other flat surfaces.
Properties and advantages of the material:
Easy installation: the low weight of the material simplifies the process of transportation and installation, and the adhesive layer makes the installation process quick, without requiring additional materials or specialists. The material is laid end to end, it can be cut with scissors or an assembly knife, it does not diverge between the strips, does not swell or deform. The percentage of cut is 1%, which is the best indicator for wall coverings. Moisture resistance: vinyl laminate flooring is moisture resistant, making it an excellent choice for kitchens and other areas with high humidity; the material is also resistant to steam and mold. Strength and durability: the polymer layer protects against abrasions and mechanical damage, ensuring long-term use. Additional protection from UV rays helps prevent fading and keeps the color rich. Aesthetics: a wide selection of designs imitating natural materials allows you to choose a covering that matches your style and interior, it combines very well in terms of color scheme, allowing you to create your own interior design. Easy maintenance: vinyl is easy to clean and does not require special products. If an individual tile is damaged, it can be easily replaced without the need for major repairs. Sound insulation: the design of the layers provides additional sound insulation and makes the rooms more comfortable. Environmentally friendly: vinyl laminate flooring does not contain toxic substances and is made from renewable resources, making it safe for health and the environment. Calculation of the required amount of material:
Measure the length and width of the surface to be pasted. Multiply the length and width of each surface in meters and add the results together to get the area. For example, after measuring you get: Floor length 5.6 m. Floor width 3.2 m. 5.6*3.2 = 17.92 m2 The resulting area must be divided by the area of one laminate tile (152*914=0.138 m²) and rounded up: 17.92 / 0.138 = 129.78 – rounded up to 130 pcs. During installation, waste may occur due to cutting tiles, so it is recommended to add 2-3 spare laminated tiles to the calculation. Installation instructions:
Self-adhesive vinyl tiles for laminate can be glued to old linoleum, tiles, parquet, laminate, glass, paint, primer, concrete (primed) with small irregularities and small potholes without special surface preparation, but if the surface has whitewash, it is necessary to clean the surface from it.
The room during installation must be dry, the air temperature in the room must exceed +15˚С to +20ºС. Make sure the surface you are going to install the tiles on is clean, dry and level. Remove any dust, dirt or oil from the surface, prime the surface if necessary and let it dry for at least 4 hours. The tiles and the surface should be at room temperature to ensure good adhesion of the adhesive base. Gradually begin to remove the protective paper from the back of the tile to reveal the adhesive surface; It is necessary to start installation from one corner and carefully press the tile onto the surface, ensuring that the tile is installed evenly and neatly, avoiding the formation of bubbles or wrinkles; Tiles can be cut using a knife or scissors to adjust the tiles to size, especially at the edges and corners of the surface; To join the strips, it is necessary to remove parts of the protective paper from the next tile, place the tile edgewise to the joint with the glued tile, applying the adhesive base to the surface, while smoothing the glued part; The tiles must be pressed firmly onto the surface by hand or with a rubber roller to ensure good adhesion between the tile and the base. Instructions for partial repair of vinyl surface:
If the coating is partially damaged, remove the damaged tile with a utility knife or spatula and insert a new one, removing the protective paper and pressing it firmly to the surface.
