VINYL TILE ON ADHESIVE BASE

Vinyl tiles with an adhesive base are a decorative material for interior decoration, for installation of which no additional materials are required. Strength, durability and moisture resistance allow the tiles to be used in different types of rooms and on different surfaces.

Material: polyethylene terephthalate (PET)

Dimensions: 600 x 600 x 1.5 mm

Coverage area - 0.36 m², quantity per 1 m² – 2.7 units

The surface is smooth and matte

The tile consists of the following layers:

  • The polymer layer, which protects against abrasions and minor mechanical damage, ensures long-term use, and UV protection helps prevent fading, keeping the color rich, as a result of which the tile retains its original aesthetic appearance for a long time.
  • Decorative layer: film with high-quality color printing, which completely imitates the texture of natural materials thanks to a clear and detailed image.
  • The main layer of foamed polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is a polymer consisting of long chains of vinyl chloride molecules, which contain chlorine atoms, which makes the material resistant to chemicals. PVC is an amorphous polymer, this structural feature makes it elastic and impact-resistant, and thanks to stabilizers and softeners, the material is lightweight.
  • Foil layer: the main property of this layer is the reflection of heat waves, which allows minimizing heat loss, thereby improving the thermal insulation of the room.
  • Adhesive layer: non-toxic base with high adhesion level.
  • Protective siliconized paper – protects the adhesive layer from drying out and contamination, easily removed during installation.

    • Application: interior finishing works: decorating walls in residential premises with high humidity levels and on work surfaces (kitchen, bathroom, living room, entrance area) and commercial premises (office premises, reception areas, shops, beauty salons or fitness centers, public places, workshops), furniture, doors and other flat surfaces.

    Properties and advantages of the material:

  • Easy installation: the self-adhesive layer makes the installation process quick and easy, without the need for additional glue, additional materials or specialists. The material is laid end to end, it can be cut with scissors or a utility knife, it does not diverge, swell or deform between the strips. The percentage of cut is 1%, which is the best indicator for wall coverings;
  • Moisture resistance: vinyl tiles are moisture resistant, making them an excellent choice for bathrooms, kitchens and other rooms with high humidity, the material is also resistant to steam and mold. The tiles are suitable for creating a kitchen apron, they can be glued to the stove at a distance of at least 30-50 cm;
  • Durability: The strength and wear resistance of vinyl allows the tiles to remain in their original condition for a long period of time;
  • Aesthetic component: a wide choice of designs and colors (imitation of natural materials and abstractions) allows you to choose a coating that matches your style and interior, combines very well in terms of color scheme, allowing you to create your own room design;
  • Easy care: vinyl is easy to clean and does not require special cleaning products.
  • Insulation: the tile has heat and sound insulation properties;
  • Environmentally friendly: vinyl tiles are made from renewable resources, and the material itself is safe for health and the environment.

    • Calculation of the required amount of material:

  • Measure the length and height of the surface to be pasted.
  • Multiply the length by the height of each surface in meters and add the results together to get the area. For example, after measuring you got:Wall length 5.6 m.Wall height 3.2 m. 5.6*3.2 = 17.92 m²
  • The resulting area must be divided by the area of one tile (600*600= 0.36) and rounded up: 17.92/0.36 = 49.77, rounded up to 50.
  • During installation, waste may occur due to cutting tiles, so it is recommended to add 2-3 spare tiles to the calculation.

    • Installation instructions:

    Self-adhesive vinyl tiles can be glued to tiles, glass, paint, primer, concrete (primed) with small irregularities and small potholes without special surface preparation, but if the surface has whitewash, it is necessary to clean the surface from it.

  • The room during installation must be dry, the air temperature in the room must exceed +15˚С to +20º С.
  • Make sure the surface you are going to install the tiles on is clean, dry and level. Remove any dust, dirt or oil from the surface, prime the surface if necessary and let it dry for at least 4 hours. The tiles and the surface should be at room temperature to ensure good adhesion of the adhesive base.
  • Gradually begin to remove the protective paper from the back of the tile to reveal the adhesive surface;
  • It is necessary to start installation from one corner and carefully press the tile onto the surface, ensuring that the tile is installed evenly and neatly, avoiding the formation of bubbles or wrinkles;
  • Tiles can be cut using a knife or scissors to adjust the tiles to size, especially at the edges and corners of the surface;
  • To join the strips, it is necessary to remove parts of the protective paper from the next tile, place the tile edgewise to the joint with the glued tile, applying the adhesive base to the surface, while smoothing the glued part;
  • The tiles must be pressed firmly onto the surface by hand or with a rubber roller to ensure good adhesion between the tile and the base.

    • Instructions for partial repair of vinyl surface:

    If the coating is partially damaged, remove the damaged tile with a utility knife or spatula and insert a new one, removing the protective paper and pressing it firmly to the surface.
