Self-adhesive wallpaper with thermal insulation combines ease of installation, thermal insulation properties, decorativeness and the ability to quickly update interiors, which makes them an attractive choice for premises of various purposes.
Size: 2800 x 500 x 2 mm
Area: 2800 x 500 x 2 mm – 1.4 m2
Weight 185 g
Texture: embossed
The wallpaper consists of the following layers:
- Printed polymer film - has antibacterial properties, resistance to moisture, chemicals and temperature. The film contains special additives, these additives include various substances that slow the growth and reproduction of bacteria and other microorganisms on the surface of the film, and UV protection helps prevent fading, keeping the color saturated, due to which the wallpaper retains its original aesthetic appearance for a long time
- XPE (polyethylene foam) is a material obtained by melting and cross-linking polyethylene molecules. The process of introducing cross-links between polyethylene molecules gives the material additional strength and heat resistance. XPE has a closed cell structure, which makes it a foamed material. This means that the internal cells of the material are completely closed, due to which it has good thermal insulation properties. Another feature is that XPE does not burn, but melts when exposed to high temperatures. After the heat source ceases to be exposed, the material usually stops melting and cools down
- Foil layer: the main property of this layer is the reflection of heat waves, which provides additional thermal insulation and protection from moisture, making the wallpaper more resistant to moisture and suitable for use in kitchens.
- Double adhesive layer: non-toxic base with high adhesion.
- Protective film: protects the adhesive layer from drying out and contamination, easily removed during installation.
Temperature range: from -30°C to +80°C.
Application:
interior finishing works: decorating walls in all types of residential premises (kitchen, living room, children's room or bedroom, entrance area) and commercial premises (office premises, reception areas, shops, beauty salons, fitness centers, workshops, etc.), decorating furniture, doors and other flat surfaces.
Properties and advantages of the material:
- Ease of installation: Self-adhesive wallpaper significantly simplifies the installation process, since it already has an adhesive coating, and this also allows you to save on the use of additional materials.
- Resistance to water and chemicals: all the main materials from which the wallpaper is made have good resistance to moisture, which makes it possible to use them in rooms with high humidity, and thanks to the polymer film, the wallpaper can be washed with household detergents (without using brushes with high abrasive capacity).
- Thermal insulation: Foamed XPE and foil layer provide good thermal insulation, which helps maintain a comfortable temperature in the room.
- Another feature is that XPE does not burn, but melts when exposed to high temperatures. After the heat source ceases to be applied, the material usually stops melting and cools down
- Hygiene: The antibacterial coating helps create a more hygienic surface, preventing the growth of bacteria and microorganisms.
- Durability: UV coating makes the wallpaper surface more resistant to light, preventing color loss under the influence of ultraviolet rays.
- Fire resistance: when exposed to high temperatures, XPE does not burn, but melts.
- Multiply the length by the height of each surface in meters and add the results together to get the area. For example, after measuring you got: Wall length 4.35 m. Wall height 2.88 m. 4.35 * 2.88 = 12.53 m ²
- The resulting area must be divided by the area of one roll (2800*500= 1.4) and rounded up: 12.53/1.4=8.95, rounded up to 9 pcs.
- During installation, waste may occur due to roll trimming, so it is recommended to add at least 1 spare roll to the calculation.
- For successful installation of self-adhesive wallpaper, the surface on which they will be installed must be:
- clean (free from dust, dirt, grease and other contaminants);
- smooth, without protruding particles, noticeable irregularities or cracks (use putty or filler if necessary);
- dry (moisture can affect the adhesive base and its adhesive properties);
- warm, from 18º to 25ºС (for better adhesion of the adhesive layer to the surface);
- free of fungus and mold;
- without old wallpaper or other decorative elements;
- If the wall has been painted or coated with some other material, a sealer or primer coat will be required to ensure good adhesion.
- It is necessary to make sure that the surface on which the wallpaper is supposed to be glued meets the above requirements. There should be no drafts in the room during installation work
- Each roll should be checked for color (shade) compliance before pasting. Without removing the protective film from the adhesive layer, apply the new roll to the already pasted wallpaper; if the shade is different, turn the roll over.
