Materials and tools that will be needed:

• Hanging shelf with fastenings
• Measuring tape
• Level
• Pencil
• Drill with drill bits
• Dowel screw and corresponding screws
• Hammer or screwdriver

1. Determine where to hang the shelf based on the weight of the shelf and its purpose.
2. Measure and mark on the wall where the fasteners will be located. It is better to use a level to ensure the levelness of the shelf;
3. Using a drill and an appropriate bit, make a hole for the dowels in the wall where the fasteners are marked. The dowels must match the size of the screws that will be used;
4. Insert the dowels into the holes and secure them with a hammer so that the dowels are firmly seated in the holes.
5. Using a screwdriver or hammer, insert the screws into the dowels, leaving their heads slightly visible. The screw heads should protrude enough to allow the shelf to hang freely but stably.
